Job Summary:
We’re looking for an energetic and dependable Showroom Sales Representative to help drive sales and elevate the customer experience in our 5.11 Tactical / Grunt Style showroom. This role focuses on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and presenting tactical apparel, gear, and lifestyle products. This includes pants, shirts, outerwear, bags, footwear, accessories, and everyday carry essentials.
The right person enjoys working with people, takes initiative, and is comfortable working toward sales goals while representing brands centered around preparedness, durability, and a patriotic lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
- Seek out and develop new sales opportunities within the showroom.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with both new and returning customers.
- Showcase products and explain technical features such as durability, fabric performance, concealment compatibility, and tactical applications in a clear, engaging way.
- Work toward and consistently meet individual and team sales goals.
- Stay informed on tactical industry trends, apparel innovations, and competitor activity.
- Guide customers through the full sales process, from initial engagement to final purchase.
- Assist with visual merchandising, product displays, and showroom organization.
- Help customers build complete gear setups, including apparel, bags, accessories, and footwear.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams on promotions, launches, and seasonal transitions.
- Support community engagement through brand events, promotions, and customer outreach when applicable.
- Step in to support other departments or responsibilities as business needs shift.
Qualifications:
- Full-time availability, working Friday through Tuesday.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven with a results-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable recommending products, upselling, and closing sales.
- Knowledge of tactical gear, lifestyle apparel, or outdoor equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with concealed carry apparel, range gear, or preparedness products is a plus.
- Strong understanding of customer needs across work, training, and everyday use environments preferred.
