Job Summary:
We’re looking for an energetic and dependable Sales Associate to help drive sales and elevate the customer experience in our Shoes & Clothing department. This role focuses on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and presenting footwear, apparel, and accessories from a variety of leading outdoor, workwear, lifestyle, and performance brands.
The right person enjoys working with people, takes initiative, and is comfortable working toward sales goals while helping customers find products that fit their lifestyle, work environment, and outdoor pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a cash register and process customer transactions accurately.
- Seek out and develop new sales opportunities within the department.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with both new and returning customers.
- Assist customers in selecting footwear, apparel, and accessories that meet their needs and preferences.
- Explain product features such as fit, materials, insulation, waterproofing, durability, comfort, and performance benefits clearly and engagingly.
- Stay informed on apparel and footwear trends, seasonal products, and competitor activity.
- Guide customers through the full sales process, from initial engagement to final purchase.
- Assist with footwear fittings and sizing recommendations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain department organization, cleanliness, and visual merchandising standards.
- Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and product displays.
- Collaborate with management on promotions, seasonal transitions, and new product launches.
- Step in to support other departments or responsibilities as business needs shift.
Qualifications:
- Full-time availability, working Saturday-Wednesday.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-driven with a results-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable recommending products, upselling, and closing sales.
- Interest in footwear, apparel, outdoor recreation, or fashion retail preferred.
- Ability to learn and communicate product features and brand differences effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Adaptable and willing to take on different tasks or roles when needed.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
